About You
If you’re in your 40s, 50s, or beyond, you’ve probably noticed that things are changing, and not for the better. Your weight has started to creep up, and the methods you used before to lose weight just aren’t working anymore. In particular, the fat seems to stick around your belly, and for all your effort with so little result, it’s very depressing and frustrating.
Diets?
Over the years, you’ve tried many different diets—keto, carnivore, Mediterranean, vegetarian, vegan, calorie counting—and experimented with various eating schedules, maybe even lengthy fasts that initially shaved off some pounds. You might be doing intermittent fasting, extending the time between meals.
Exercise?
Perhaps you’ve doubled down on exercise: more cardio for longer periods, resistance training, boot camps, high-intensity interval training. But sadly, the weight still doesn’t seem to come off. All the exercise just makes you tired and hungry.
Feel like giving up?
You try hard, you have good intentions, but although you can do it for a while, you just can’t seem to stick with it. Time after time, you complete a diet, only to find that as soon as you go off it, all the weight comes back, and then some. Overall, it feels like you’re going backward.
You’re sick of diets, tired of going without, and fed up with feeling hungry. It’s depressing.
You feel like you’re missing out on the good things in life and depriving yourself of foods you love.
To top it off, you actually have less energy than before!!
Life is stressful. You’re juggling many balls: children, a husband, a house, a demanding job. It’s getting harder and harder to keep up.
You feel like a failure and there’s shame about not being in control of your weight. It’s not something you can hide.
What are you missing?
I want you to know, there are deeper reasons why we struggle so much with weight loss.
I call it the iceberg factor
All the efforts and actions you’re taking to lose weight are like the tip of the iceberg—what you can see and observe above the water.
But there’s a lot going on underneath that’s not visible. The deeper drivers of our behaviours lie submerged in our subconscious mind.
Like with an iceberg, the hidden part is actually the biggest and strongest part, exerting a lot of influence over your situation without you being aware.
Once you discover what is hiding beneath the surface, the path to long-term weight loss becomes easier. The frustration and shame disappear. The result is:
- You can enjoy that great feeling of being slim, trim, taut, and terrific. You can wear what you want. Your clothes fit and flatter your figure. You feel sexy and attractive.
- You’re bright, bouncy, and full of energy. You can engage in fun activities with friends and family and some sports you really enjoy. You have a busy life and demanding responsibilities at work, but you don’t run out of energy for all the things you want to do.
- You’re clear-headed, sharp-thinking, with good recall. There’s no mental fogginess or worry about early signs of Alzheimer’s. Your outlook is positive and confident. You manage stress well and enjoy your life.
- You feel like your weight is finally under control. You don’t have to go hungry or deprive yourself with diets. You find it easy to stay within your ideal weight range.

A lot of clients who come to us have tried to lose weight over a long period of time with limited or short term success. They’re disappointed in themselves, deeply frustrated and baffled by their inability to succeed in this area of their life when in other areas they can set goals and achieve what they want.
We don’t give nutritional advice, we don’t recommend a diet, or specific way of eating. We don’t set up an exercise program for you. We don’t help you set (yet another) goal and urge you into taking immediate action.
There are many different ways to achieve weight loss – all the information is out there on the internet, and if you are honest with yourself you probably know WHAT to do, you just struggle with making yourself do it in a consistent and sustainable way so as to get to your goal weight and maintain it over time.
The WE MIND weight loss program will first address the hidden motivators of your behavious. You have saboteurs of your success of which you are unaware, and they are keeping you stuck in an endless loop of effort and preventing you from creating sustainable results.
Let’s deal with that first
Leaving these underlying beliefs in place while trying to achieve your goal is like Houdini trying to escape knots he can’t see or feel. How could he do that? Impossible, right?
Your underlying beliefs mean that you can’t source power or vision outside of yourself, get past linear ways of thinking or see resources and opportunities that will take you where you want to go. Based on your past failed efforts, you have old stories about yourself – who you are and what is possible in your life.
All your action so far reinforces your old story.
The magic of being free from the knots of your stories by identifying and changing the underlying beliefs is that you will finally unlock your potential. You will have the power to solve problems, see new ways of doing things that will get you where you want to go faster and opportunities will suddenly (magically) appear.
The invisible barriers that have been holding you back will have dissolved.

Suzi’s story:
I’m passionate about health and wellness, and have been since 2004 when I faced a health challenge with chronic fatigue syndrome.
That was a real wake up call!
I realised my health was my real wealth and after recovering, all my efforts have been directed at proactively protecting my health. It is much easier to stay well than to try and recover your health once you have lost it. Staying well means managing my thyroid problem and staying on top of my weight.
Over the last 20 years I’ve read over hundred books, watched videos, read blog posts, subscribed to newsletters and I keep on educating myself about the latest research and breakthroughs in the areas of health and wellness.
Already a qualified counsellor, I trained as a life coach in 2013 and a holobody (holistic body) wellness coach in 2022.
